The Family Tree of American Rock was first published in 1983 by Bruce Burton. In 1989, Burton updated the 24" x 28" Lithograph Poster that typographically gives a historical introspection on the History of American Rock. The roots of the American Rock feature influencing cities of San Francisco, Los Angeles, a bather at Humboldt Counties’ Clam Beach State Park, Memphis, Chicago, New York plus a snapshot of its 1989 skyline.
